Know what a result means.

Hardware scan

Windows reports the detected information. Virtual adapters, generic names, missing drivers or restricted queries can produce partial results. Drive sizes use decimal GB; memory uses binary GiB, rounded for display. Display resolution is what the graphics adapter reports, not a guaranteed complete monitor inventory.

Parts and prices

The catalog includes an attributed BuildCores OpenDB snapshot with current and older component records, alongside legacy demonstration components. Community records have not been individually verified by CoreNext. Missing specifications remain unknown. Choosing Check eBay prices requests offers for the selected catalog part through the CoreNextStudio hosted pricing service described in Privacy. Results are candidates screened by listing title and condition, not verified exact-SKU matches or a guarantee of working hardware. Filters can miss misleading descriptions or exclude valid listings. Only the first page of provider results is screened; this is not an exhaustive search or a lowest-price promise. Check each listing yourself. Only demonstration components have illustrative prices used in build totals; eBay offers never change those totals. Totals exclude labor, taxes and shipping. An eBay search reflects offers at the stated check time, with up to ten minutes of caching. Availability can change. Shipping is reported without a destination and is not an Alaska delivery quote; tax and final delivery eligibility are determined on eBay. CoreNext is not the seller of these eBay offers.

Catalog sources and reuse

BuildCores OpenDB data is used under the Open Data Commons Attribution License 1.0. The snapshot date, source revision and full license are available in Licenses. The catalog is a local snapshot, not a continuously updated feed. Inclusion does not imply endorsement by BuildCores or a manufacturer. The database license does not grant rights to third-party logos or product photographs.

Compatibility

Basic checks cover CPU socket, RAM generation, motherboard case fit, GPU length, cooler height and socket, and a power headroom rule. BIOS support, exact PSU connectors, cables, storage slot topology, cooling performance, electrical safety and exact product SKUs still require verification.

FPS and Can I Run It?

FPS estimates are coming later. This release provides no FPS figures or performance-based run verdict, and selecting a game does not establish that it will launch or run acceptably. A future release may provide estimates from appropriately licensed data with source, settings and limitations shown. Estimates will not guarantee an individual PC’s results. Operating system, drivers, game versions, available storage and other game requirements must also be checked.

Scores and upgrade guidance

The score is a sample heuristic: 35% CPU tier, 55% GPU tier, and up to 10 points for memory capacity. Upgrade suggestions are general planning prompts. Neither is a measured benchmark, an actual scan score, a bottleneck percentage or a promised improvement.

Safe hardware work

The app does not change drivers, firmware, clock speeds, fans or system settings. Consult component instructions and a qualified technician when needed before opening, modifying or purchasing hardware.
